If you've previously made an ICC profile for a printer, you only need to do the following:ġ) Set "Color~Printer color space" to "ICC profile"Ģ) Set "Color~Printer ICC profile" to file name of ICC file To profile your printer with an IT8 target:Ģ) Set "Input~Scan task" to "Make IT8 target"ĥ) Set "Input~Scan task" to "Profile printer"Ĩ) Adjust cropping until IT8 outline matches (not all boxes outlined)ĩ) Choose "Profile~Profile printer" from the drop-down menuġ0) The ICC profile will be written to "printer.icc" This profile is unique to each type of paper in the printer and each change to the printer setup options. Printer profiling is the process of determining the precise color characteristics of a printer. Here is the description from the Vuescan website of how to create a printer profile: You can print from Vuescan, although I never have, and Vuescan does create printer profiles (its a pretty recent change).
